Wedding Orders

Wedding custom orders are one of our absolute favourite types of orders to complete! They are always so beautiful, and flower preservation is one of our passions, so we love any chance to do it. If there is one thing everyone knows about the wedding industry, it's that everything costs more the minute you put the word 'wedding' in front of it. This is not the case when ordering with Poured Perfection. All items ordered for a wedding preservation are of the same cost as any other order, these prices can be found on our Product List page. To book in, message us on Instagram or through our contact page on the website.

It is extremely important however, for wedding orders to book in advance to avoid disappointment. The time put into preserving a wedding bouquet (or large amounts of flowers) and then potentially laying out designs and sending these back and forth becomes quite monumental. For this reason, we only take on a hand full of wedding orders per month. Wait times for wedding orders start at 4 weeks and go up to 8 weeks depending on how busy we are that month, how many items you order and the specifics of your requests.

Flower Preservation

It is extremely important to note that when getting flowers preserved, they can only be preserved in the condition they are received in, they do not 'come back to life' and sometimes will deteriorate further (blemishes that often are not noticed while a flower is hydrated will become more noticable once they are dried out). Some flowers are also notorious for not preserving well or changing color when being preserved, so please bear this in mind when booking in. If you have any questions just ask away! Flowers are also reserved as their heads on their own (stems removed) unless otherwise specified, this assists on preservation quality.

Flower preservation of 1 - 3 individual flowers is included in the cost of your products, however if you wish to have more flowers preserved this will attract a non refundable deposit of $30 to be paid prior to booking in your date. This deposit not only coveres some of the costs involved in preserving flowers but also locks in your specified date. We hold this date for you, as such we may turn away other customers on this date as we need the space and time to be able to focus on each persons orders, therefore if you decide to cancel the deposit is non-refundable. If however once the flowers are preserved you decide you do not wish to order products any more, because you have paid the preservation fee already you may collect your preserved flowers and do with them as you wish.

Flower Prep after the big day

Unfortunately, most flowers used in weddings were trimmed at least a week prior to the wedding so that the florist has time to work with them and then are stored in a cool room until the wedding day. This means it is very important that while you wait to deliver us the flowers, you give them a good chance at staying alive! To do this, please:

-Cut the bottom of the stems of the flowers by 2cm

-Place the flowers into fresh water.

-Keep the flowers in a cool dark space (think a wardrobe or cupboard, a fridge is a great option during summer or in extreme heat)

If you are posting your flowers to us be sure to ask for the postage info flyer when booking in and we will send you everything you need to know to have your flowers arrive as safely as possible.
